Listing is for a light purplish pink color Spinel, GIA Certified, 2.97 Carats, VVS clarity. My supplier sent this to me as an IF or flawless but upon careful review, I believe it’s not flawless and more towards a VVS. Nevertheless, it’s clean and will be perfect for a Rose or Gold color ring. This is not classified as a investment grade stone but still a good stone for the price.
As mentioned on my home-web page, Spinels do not get the respect it deserve and prices of spinels are slowly going up but still cheaper than it’s sibling “Ruby”. Gemstones listed on my website with a “Premium” or “Investment Grade” designation are truly exceptional pieces and top 5%-10% worldwide. Prices for top stones, whether Spinels or Sapphires will be high due to its rarity. Top gems of any of the top (Ruby, Sapphire,Emerald, Garnet, Indicolite Tourmaline etc) over 2 CT are rare and will be expensive. Don’t believe in the eBay or budget sellers offering flawless or eye clean gems for really cheap. If it’s too good to be true, it is... Flawless on an average gem and an investment grade gem is night and day different.
